Might as well make your CV the best it can be apply for positions if you're in a position be earning apprentice wages for the next couple years. At the end of the day it's up to the employer and they might just fancy you for the role if you have work experience and show you're really keen.

Cant speak for individual companies, you'll need to check their websites for vacancies. Rolls Royce etc that normally take on loads of apprentices have been hit pretty hard with their jet engine manufacturing grinding to a halt, so that changes things but it's still worth checking.
