Comment | No, not really. I'm English and have been living here for seven years, and the only sectarianism I've directly encountered is being held up by marches in the summer - when everyone around me would collectively roll their eyes and get on with their lives. Never seen 'What school did you go to?' be asked to me or near me, when people talk about football (no interest myself) it's always purely sporting.
It obviously exists, and should be tackled etc etc, but it clearly affects some groups of people more than others and it's very possible to have no real experience of it other than reading about it in the news. |
