| Comment | No they aren’t. There are definitely different standards of builders. As the poster above me said, Cala is great, along with the likes of Robertson Homes, Stewart Milne and some of the smaller, local builders like Perella.
Barrett are a bit and miss, as are Bellway, and I wouldn’t touch Persimmon with a barge pole.
If you’re going for an old tenement and you seriously want to bid on it, it might be worth getting a second opinion from someone in that line of work. I have a friend with a very old tenement in the city centre and there’s massive structural issues arising due to its age, and all the home owners are arguing over what to do, pay, etc |
