I mean the home report is based only on superficially looking at the building. Would it know if joists in the flat above are completely rotten through? Nope. Does it have any information at the state of the roof? Not at all. I think that's the scary bit for me - the idea that those defects are hidden from the view and not dealt with until they are too much purely because nobody knew about them. |
