| Comment | Won't lie it was a major consideration for me when I bought my first flat. As much as I love the aesthetic of a tenement flat and it was in my budget I went with a new build (5 years problem free... So far!). Three friends in tenements in the 18 months prior had been hit with insane repair/refurb costs that resulted in 15-40k loans. Statistically that's still really low compared to how many tenement dwellers I know, but wasn't a risk I was willing to take. |
