I think there's a difference between, say, a small development within an already established area, and somewhere like Robroyston where large estates went up all at the same time.
There's something quite depressing about the cookie-cutter detached houses all crammed together. Cala at least vary the designs of each house slightly, so that there's a bit of variety along a street.
