I'd recommend going round with the surveyor if you can, especially if there are any particular issues you are concerned about. Apart from anything else, they will do a much more thorough job if the customer is watching them.
Home reports tend to be a bit useless. I had one where the firm that wrote the report were clearly trying to cover themselves, and had suggested that various alterations might need retrospective planning permission, which could have been a nightmare. The surveyor was able to look at it and give a straight answer. |
