| Comment | This sub is wild for extraneous downvotes but you did the right thing asking. On the current American season (13) there's a ftm trans contestant. Most people when they talk about Drag Queens just call them "she/her" but when a contestant keeps their boy name a lot of people can get confused, which is fair but unless specified "she/her" is the go to - so when this ftm contestant started the fandom had to pause and go - oh hold on a minute is that still what we do - and thankfully it was addressed in the second episode and we're to call her "she/her" the same as all the other contestants otherwise she'd have felt singled out. That was another Queen asking her that question, so it's not always obvious or easy and asking is the polite thing to do. |
