| Comment | The maths and physics departments are a whole other case. Last year right up until the cancellation of 1st year exams we were being told that they would still happen, be the same time length, still be closed book etc. They were pretty pissed off when we were let through automatically.
Now the physics department is still insisting that we shouldn't get any extra time for online exams, despite the fact that the tests we've had this year have been markedly more difficult than previous years (which they deny but is clear from examining the papers). Our head of course has even told our reps that there's no difference in the teaching between this and previous years so there's no leniency policy, while also insisting that we shouldn't complain about anything because the lecturers have it very hard this year. Oh, and when we tell them that half the course are stressed and falling behind and mentally broken, she just doesn't believe it.
We're being given no sympathy for our situation this year and honestly at times it feels like we're being treated with contempt. |
