The industrial repurposing idea is definitely an interesting thought. Manchester and Newcastle have done a better job than us at that - and it's been very successful. At the very least, there should be some sort of tourist attraction/ homage to the city's industrial past. People's Palace is possibly the closest we have and it has to be said, its a fucking shitehole haha.
