Haha, yeah, I've had the same experience. Had a problem with damp patches on the walls and ceilings and got a guy out to look at it. He told me all the stuff I was doing wrong like drying towels on the radiator, keeping the windows shut all the time... explained the rough basic science behind condensation and how while we were talking and breathing we were creating moisture in that very minute. Just like you it was all clicking into place and I was trying my best not to seem like a fanny, but I guess at that point the jig is up.

The funny thing about it is we can all probably remember times when we were kids and our mums and grans would have the windows open to give the place an airing, even in the winter when it was freezing cold, but somehow along the way we all mostly forget about it by the time we get our first flats.
