| Comment | Hello. If you need a conveyancing solicitor I highly recommend Carruthers Gemill on Bath Street. They handled my house purchase in 2020. I saw the name recommended here on Reddit and I don't regret it. They are a small office with a long history in Glasgow, whenever I phoned an actual person picked up.
Never, ever, ever go with the conveyancers recommended to you by an estate agent or mortgage company. They are normally not even solicitors, and are normally a large company with shitty phone systems where it is impossible to pin anyone down.
Also, Southside is great. Shawlands/Battlefield/Strathbungo/Cathcart are nice areas. We moved to Clarkston which is a bit further out but if it's a flat you're looking for I'd recommend those areas. |
