Because you have been charged a total share of the cost, that would suggest that communal work took place as opposed to work within a specific flat. What you need to do is ask the factor for a copy of the invoice they received from the contractors that carried out the work.
This should include a description of exactly what work they carried out and that should help determine if it was communal, which I suspect it is. I'd also query the cost for any inspection as inspections happen all the time, yes there are some that are more time consuming and detailed than others, but there should be an agreed call out charge. |
