| Comment | Scotland is full of places that have good areas and bad areas in close proximity. I don’t know anywhere that doesn’t have a decent area and a not as good one. This sub tends to only favour the west end and the southside but they are a very small part of the giant overall area that is greater Glasgow/surrounding.
Paisley is absolutely fine. There are dodgy bits and some really nice bits (with houses worth £300k+, wonder if the flat renters of the ‘trendy’ areas still consider that too shit for them? LOL).
SIMD is an ok tool to use to gauge an area, and I’d recommend you search and join a few local/area Facebook groups and you’ll get the vibe from there too. I lived in Renfrewshire for a bit so I’ll gladly answer any specific area questions if you private message me.
