I moved to Edinburgh from Glasgow for art school when I finished high school and loved it. Was the best thing I ever did. It was the perfect amount of distance to feel like I was living in a completely new place and had some freedom, with the safety net of knowing it was only a hour or so train journey if I ever felt homesick. So I’d imagine Dundee would feel the same. I knew a lot of people who had moved from other areas in Scotland, and although it’s a shorter move than other more international students, it still feels terrifying. If it’s DJCAD you’re applying to, it’s a great art school with people from all over so most people will be in the same boat as you are. You’ll be absolutely fine honestly! I agree with the other comments about trying to move into student halls for the first year as you’ll be surrounded by people all going through the same experience.
