If you're up for a really long drive, or if you're willing to camp for a night, then it takes about 3 1/2 hours to drive up the a82 through Glencoe, past Fort William and all the way to the arisaig/morar/mallaig coastline. It's an epic drive and you end up on one of those picture perfect white sandy beaches they use in the tourist brochures watching the sun set over Skye and the small isles, all in the time it takes to watch fellowship of the ring. Brings a year to my eye just thinking about it, fucking hell I need a holiday.
