Comment | I ended up in the QEUH the week before Xmas with Covid (Got discharged on Xmas day) and believe me busy doesn't cover it. I was originally sent to the Maryhill CAC for a test but they didn't even bother doing a test as my breathing & blood oxygen was so bad they just arranged for an ambulance to the QE.
Nearly 15 hours before my bum hit a bed as the place was packed and staff working flat out. 3 hr wait for an available ambulance to take me from Maryhill, 9 hour wait sat in a chair in the SATA ward (hooked up to portable oxygen) reception area, moved to a bed in there for a couple of hours and eventually moved to the ward I spent the rest of the week in (7b Resp' ward).
The staff are knocking their pans in looking after folk like me (and I was one of the lucky ones) at great risk to themselves and frankly these cockwombles spreading bullshit fake news should be prosecuted, named and shamed. A good hiding wouldn't go amiss either! |
