| Comment | First time I went to London I (female, about 24 at the time, white, little slip of a thing) got off the tube with a rucksack strapped to my back and was walking towards the stairs with everyone else. This big lassie got a hold of my rucksack and tossed me into the wall, saying, "the FUCK out of my way, bitch". And not a soul paid a blind bit of notice. Now someone MIGHT have laid hands on you in Glasgow Central, but you can bet your life it would have been Avengers Assemble within seconds.
I have seen two lads on a hot summer day wade waist-deep into a park pond in Glasgow to rescue a duck which was being murdered by a big fuck-off swan. (Neither of them got a broken arm, in case anyone's wondering, though they did get pecked about a bit. ) And I myself have thrown a drunk man off a bus for bothering a tourist lady and besmirching the reputation of our fair city. He was lucky I got to him before the driver did. |
