Some bits of Govanhill aren't great. On the other hand, most of my queer pals either stay there or have at some point. It's definitely got a lot going on, and a good local LGBT+ community.
If you can afford Battlefield or Shawlands, you'll be close enough. Lived in Battlefield for about 4 years and it was definitely the best place I've been.
