I know you mean well because Glasgow can be a fairly accepting place - but I've definitely experienced a bit of homophobia when with my partner unfortunately. It happens everywhere, folk are shite.
I recommend the West End to OP also, really nice place with lots of LGBT+ people! South side too, there's also a queer book shop there and a big community.
