I stay in Johnstone. Right over my house at probably 1000ft. It's fine. I like aviation...but you really don't notice. Glasgow doesn't have a large volume of loud planes in and out everyday. Only the Emirates 777, which is just fun to watch anyway.
The new easyjet models are near enough silent too, quite interesting!
