I try to do ‘productive stuff’ in 30 minute intervals. Let’s face it even when your motivation has collapsed, most of us can still do 30 minutes of work?

I then try to increase the number of 30 minutes sessions I do on a daily basis. This is known as the Pomodoro technique:

I say this as someone whose self motivation totally collapsed earlier in the year due to the effect of lockdown (isolation, and employment turned upside down,) at the same time as bereavement.

The Pomodoro technique has really helped me ‘get productive’ again. One step at a time!
