I've been in a few shops before where I'm asked by a security guard to take my hood down when coming in from the rain, probably since they've had trouble in the past with neds using them to hide from cameras? Not sure how big a practical issue it really is.
Masks are just a further extension of that to keep people anonymous from security cameras and what not. I can imagine how the precedent of being expected to wear a mask everywhere would make some shop owners pretty nervous about it becoming a standard. |
