You are proposing to eliminate localised taxation in exchange for nationwide tax funds going towards local wellfair. That means that people in inverness would see their taxes going towards glaswegians which isnt likely to do much in the way of softening the highlander/lowlander dichotomy. This isnt like with the NHS where its one organisation that serves everyone, its incredibly unlikely for someone from ullapool to find themselves appreciating the repair done to a glasgow road that they partially paid for.

I do agree that we ought to eliminate landlordism and wealth inequality, but the way to do that isnt "lets centralise our tax system so that everyone in the country is paying to fix glaswegian roads"
