"As far as we could see our tax accounts (RTI) looked normal and we were getting furlough as expected. The owners kept us in the dark until November when they told us they weren't getting payments from HMRC and our furlough would stop. They blamed it on a "technical glitch"
Any complaints to HMRC about issues with tax from us were brushed off with a "talk to your employer" and we couldn't get any further with it. The payroll is outsourced and we could never get other information about what went wrong. Nothing the owners said matched with what has come out in the news recently."
