What I will say is do your homework. Most therapists will offer a taster session as each will have their own area of expertise and as professionals, they won't just take your money and attempt to help. Or at least, they shouldn't. On a human level, they'll only want to work with people who they think they can mesh with and as the patient, that should go for you as well.
