| Comment | Its funny I was thinking the exact same thing recently, I bought a litter picker and use it to clean up areas from time to time however it just doesnt make a difference, the same unemptied bins fill the streets up with the same litter again the next day. While we need some personal responsibility to not litter in the first place, we cant pretend this problem is going to be fixed by well meaning people with infinite spare time.
Dumping the litter in front of the council seems like a perfect protest, it highlights the problem, you arent littering since the litter was already there, you have just done half the work of tidying it up, and it seems really hard to avoid.
I would be interested in making a bit of a photo project out of it, doing before and after photos etc. |
