| Comment | Hi there, I live up near the Botanics. We walk up to Ruchill Park which has cracking views of the Campsies from a few points. Along the river to Dawsholm Park is a nice one, would be about 45 minutes to an hour to get there. If you want to make a trip out of it, you can hike all along the Kelvin Walkway and then the Allander Walkway and you get to Milngavie which is a decent "target". The canal also provides some good options. You could head East or follow it down to Bowling and the Clyde, hell if you keep going you could walk all the way to Loch Lomond. Or you could cross the Clyde and wander round the boundary of Crookston Castle, a 1600s castle in the middle of housing. |
