I might be wrong it’s just that in most news stories it says that while it dosent stop transmission it does reduce the chance that you will be seriously ill with COVID (ie require hospital treatment).

The vaccines are amazing and are reducing hospital numbers dramatically which is what we want but just wondering if it’s better to base lockdown levels on a % who are seriously ill rather than cases overall now since we are a year into this.
