| Comment | An issue is that social housing won’t allow overcrowding. So several people sharing the rent in a slum landlords flat are going to be in trouble (won’t be able to afford rent) if all the flats move to social housing (eg. 6 adults in a private one bedroom flat for £500 won’t be allowed by the housing association).
So some individuals will see the rent they have to pay go up as they can’t share with as many adults, even if the overall rent is the same between flats. |
