| Comment | Not quite. It can prevent unintentional transactions but the attack pattern for a skim attack is to read, then spoof/replay the cards. In this attack pattern the cards are all read in one batch; while your point of sale terminal can only handle one card at a time, the skimmer isn’t limited in this way.
So having two cards together only protects you from accidental transactions with mobile point of sale readers, it won’t protect your cards from skimmers as skimmers can read all the cards separately. |
