We did that when we bought ours and got it under home report.

There was only internal work though as the communal areas were fine and the home report was mostly fine too - nothing unexpected for a tenement.

Every room required new flooring and painting, and the windows needed repaired. The main thing was it needed a new kitchen and there were a few unknowns in there that would’ve been imposssible for us to fully investigate.

We took a risk and it massively paid off. We spent less than £10k doing it all up and even with that it’s still less than HR total spent.
