GCC is marred with a history of people like Purcell and the likes, so if the council had a modicum of intelligence they would RECEIVE respect by GIVING respect back to people. Respect has to be earned, it isn't arrived at by any other means and the city has not much respect in it for its environmental issues because the Psychology is the fundamental issue. Take for example....'food waste'. Look at how that flopped eh ! So along come the council, take the food waste and supply a PRIVATE FTSE 100 organisation with this resource to generate electricity with/from. WE are paying council tax for our rubbish to be disposed of which the council take and generate CASH with !!!! Did/does ANY of this profiteering get reflected on ANY of our council tax bills ? Nope ! It doesn't. Or....NAW, it didnae ! (depending on ur location)...lol... The council are as clear as a pool of mud. Zero transparency and utterly opaque. I see GCC are putting their hand out again looking for funding from Holyrood to restore Glasgows aging tenements !!! Seriously, I thought their strategy was to let them rot and then re-populate the plot with some battery-human coops which trebles the number of Flats/houses and hence, the income from their Council tax !!!! Only when this lot get their act together will society change. For the most part, it seems that the population is quite content with this as no-one is going to make themselves a target for voicing their concerns on a public 'stage'..... 'Ignorance is bliss' has never had such gravity.......
