Well my dad works for a company based in England and the industry hes in is pretty much centred in England.

Less selfishly hes just always been pro-union, and he really believes the democracy British citizens has is the most free and equal in the world, and thinks the British welfare state, NHS, school system is amazing. He started off as an apprentice welder on a YTS and has worked his way up to a great well paid job so I think he just thinks the country offers so much I'm the way of opportunity.

As I said my father already feels Scotland has a strong identity, and loves Scots history and loves Scottish art and poetry so I guess he doesnt feel Scotland needs to be independent to be a proud and passionate Scotsman.

Also for the record Gaelic was brought to Scoland only 1200 years ago by an invading Irish army, and was only the dominant language of the ruling class for a couple hundred years and was likely never the majority language amongst the people of Scotland. It arrived around 800 AD, peaked around 1000 AD, and died off pretty soon after.
