| Comment | That's when I switched to "Rice and Noodle" across the road, but then that got a bit gentrified as well - prices up quality down. The hotpot places the Chinese students go to around Yorkhill and Partick X are good, but Ho Fun is kind of a Cantonese thing I think, and most of them are from elsewhere in China. "China Wok" in the Savoy Centre was run by recent HK immigrants so it was excellent for Cantonese, but it too got gentrified out of existence when the Savoy centre got socially cleansed by GSA types. It's almost like there's a vast MI5 conspiracy against decent Chinese cafes. |
