If only more people actually bought the books and comics it might have stood a chance - to my shame I would often browse but just buy a coffee. I quite like the cafe on the second floor of Waterstones on Sauchihall Street in non-lockdown times but Borders made you feel that hanging out in a bookstore on a Saturday evening was actually sort of a cool thing to be doing.
