Coin meters were a thing back in the 80s and 90s but should all be completely obsolete now. The law changed back sometime just after 2010 meaning the old coin meters could never be adapted again so the new pound coins should have put an end to them all.
Memories of going on holiday back in the day and having to put coins in the telly for every 15 minutes you wanted to watch.
Plenty of prepayment meters still about where you get a plastic dongle thing that you top up at paypoints but they're a bit of a rip off too. |
