It's funny you say that. I'm the original poster of the thread and cut a long story short, we did end up staying here (Bridgeton) because there was very little else available with Airbnb for long stays. It was ok-ish at first, as the cold weather and lockdown obviously kept people indoors.
As the days have been getting longer, some things really began to stand out, like kids dealing drugs in doorways right outside the shops on Dalmarnock Road. Total chaos on the day of the Rangers win a couple of days ago with fireworks flying all over James Street.
Just the other day, we were walking back and we saw a gaggle of kids (looking quite young) just opposite the Premier shop. They were throwing stuff (don't know what) at passing cars, one was a taxi. This is in plain sight, on a road with shops, there were some adults around. Nobody did anything. Needless to say my husband and I took a different route to the flat.

However, at least it's close to the centre of Glasgow - we've literally been walking everywhere from here. The station is super handy back when it was snowing, we had to get the train when we went to view some properties and it wasn't safe to drive.
Glasgow Green is really nice, I've been walking there every day and (at least in the daytime) it feels as safe as any city park in the world.

So although it's not been terrible so far, I'm really glad I'm moving out next week, to an entirely different part of town. I think lockdown kept some of the shitheads indoor and I'm glad I won't be around when we're all 'free' again.
