I sometimes tip a quid if I have one, but generally I don't anymore. I lived in London for a while and it used to grip my shit that restaurants would add a "discretionary" 12.5% service charge onto your bill. Now that I'm back in Glasgow I'd like to play my part in making sure that that bullshit doesn't filter into behaviour here, therefore I'm going to embrace my Scottish identity and be a right tight cunt when it comes to tipping, in order to discourage that carry-on.
