Defence is a very much an essential muscle flex when there are big bad people out there that want to illegally stretch their borders. Having a large military force is not only in ours, but our allies best interests. To downsize it would come at a cost and would be taken advantage of and let countries like Russia and China go unchallenged.
Shipbuilding is also a deeply engrained part of Glasgow’s economy, history and culture. |
