I earned roughly that when I bought my flat initially- by the time factors fees were on I wasn't far off £600 pm. It was tight but doable, you need to be strict with yourself though. I allowed 50 quid a week for food and another 50 quid for spending a week and managed.

Utilities roughly £35 pm on a one bed for me working from home. £110 council tax pm, contents insurance roughly a tenner pm.

As others have said, £600 is pretty hefty.

I made myself a spreadsheet that you just add the values too with your income at the top. Been doing this for 10 years now and it keeps me on track.
