Some things I've thought are truly great, increased pedestrianisation of Sauchiehall for one. My area is full of bus lanes and cyclist lanes and there's public bikes and electric charging stations 5 minutes walk from me.

So it seems to me like "new" initiatives are executed really well.

The problems that I see have stemmed from long standing structural issues. Systems and processes in place for years and years breaking down until the wheels fall off - potentially because whichever civil servant in charge of them are incompetent or incapable of change.

While I appreciate that they're "experimenting" to find an acceptable approach to the bins what's happening ain't working and they need to go back to the drawing board and experiment some more.
