How is an integrated, publicly controlled transport system with co-ordinated planning and a smartcard for all bus, subway, and rail travel across Strathclyde *not* something to be excited about?! Compare First Bus to Lothian Buses in Edinburgh or London's buses. There's no contest. Glasgow *needs* this integrated network. It's not sexy to the general public the way a grand, sleek, new metro system would be, but that isn't a realistic and sustainable idea right now. It's massively expensive for less return. This SPT plan **is** ambitious.
