| Comment | London’s rail (underground and over ground) and bus network is exceptional compared to ours. You only need to look at the Greater London area on Google Maps to see train stations and subway stops galore - do the same for the Greater Glasgow region and you’ll see the vast difference. E.g. once you leave the south side and get in to parts of Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire (with massive commuter towns) there’s areas complete unserved by rail (or if the town has a station its miles from some major housing estates), and some without even basic bus links (making it hard to get a bus somewhere or get a bus to aforementioned train station). |
