I paid £500 a month all bills included in a nice area of Glasgow (Newlands) in 2017-18 for a room and use of the rest of the flat.

Glasgow is great, I’ve worked in Dublin but it’s so expensive. Two places I’ve worked and loved but didn’t warrant the cost were Oxford and Dublin, I just felt you could get the same quality standard of living for a lot less elsewhere.

Your salary will go a long way here as it’s relatively cheap to eat out and drink comparatively to most countries biggest cities.

Brunch and coffee will cost around £9 combined and pint a averages about £3.50 in nice bars.

Good luck 🍀
