The roads here are just awful, there's no excuse. Folk can blame the pandemic, but many of the potholes I encounter on my way in from Ayrshire have been there for at least 2years (some longer). I know it was a cold winter, but the volume of traffic is greatly decreased on what it was pre-pandemic. there's just no excuse for it.


My SIL lives in Inverness (Black Isle area) and the roads there are just miles better than what's in Glasgow.

Someone else commented that " it’s a bit daft to say that Glasgow is in a worse state than 10/15 years ago " but I'm sorry, it just is. The place is an absolute state. The main foot bridges over the Clyde are absolutely covered in graffiti (Bells Bridge at the SECC in particular). GCC do absolutely no maintenance of any new structures that are flung up, they're just left to fall into disrepair (Tradeston Footbridge for example). Bins are often overflowing.


It's embarrassing for a city that's supposed to be hosting the COP26 in November
