I've lived in Pollokshaws for 2 years and absolutely love it. Silverburn is half an hours walk away, or less than 10 mins on the bus. 20(ish) minute walk and you're in Shawlands. It's ideal for me, I feel like I'm close enough to take advantage of all the pubs, restaurants etc but far enough away that it's nice and quiet. Aldi being across the road from me is another bonus!
