I do however think, when listening to the nouvelle crop of public transport campaigners, that they really desperately need to just pare it back and cut the waffle - and hence force politicians to do the same. Cheaper fares and public ownership - and cheaper fares through public ownership - is all that actually matters. Never mind integrated, high tech yadda yadda. That can come later. Talking about too much just gives the pols on GCC an out - talking points for prevarication. When you make simple and sharp demands, it's very easy to hold elected representatives to account. |
