I'm weighing up the benefits of location, build quality, what's gonna keep it's value, etc. I'm moving back to Glasgow but at the moment I'm in a flat in a late victorian block of "villas" which has had significant work done to it and I've not had any of the issues you've listed. I'm presuming that you can get a well looked after / renovated tenement flat which will be similar to live in to what I've got right now. Compared to where I stayed when I was in Glasgow before (90s build just south of the city centre) I think I'd prefer a tenement and happy to do improvements in the long run. One thing I've learned during lockdown is that if I'm near a park then that makes a world of difference, even if it's just for getting out to stretch my legs, and it just so happens that near the good parks it's mostly tenements. |
