| Comment | I've been recommended medication first before as well, but wasn't told that I must be on it before being referred to a mental health service. I've had a few GPs be a little difficult about referring me to a psychologist too until I found out I could get help myself through reaching out to a CMHT, it's a little odd. I've been in and out of mental health services since I was around 15, so in my experience I knew when I needed to see a specialist over taking medication if that makes sense and if someone doesn't want to try SSRIs, they dont have to. But I'm no professional, I just am aware medication isn't for some folk. |
